Moderator: Joseph Zuckerman, MD

Joseph Zuckerman, MD, is professor and chairman of the Department of Orthopedic Surgery at NYU Langone Health and surgeon-in-chief at NYU Langone Orthopedic Hospital. He completed his internship and residency at University of Washington, and fellowships at Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Mayo Clinic. Dr. Zuckerman is an industry thought leader and has traveled around the world educating surgeons on shoulder replacement. He is past president of the AAOS and ASES and an original Equinoxe design team member.

Panelist: Howard Routman, DO

Howard Routman, DO, is the president of Atlantis Orthopaedics in Palm Beach Gardens, Fla., and directs the Palm Beach Shoulder Service. He completed his ASES fellowship in 2000 and has been actively involved in reverse shoulder replacement surgery and research since 2003. Dr. Routman is the immediate past-president of the Association of Clinical Elbow and Shoulder Surgeons (ACESS), active member of the American Shoulder and Elbow Surgeons (ASES), the president of the shoulder and elbow section of the American Osteopathic Academy of Orthopedics (AOAO), and the president of the Palm Beach Shoulder and Sports Medicine Foundation, a non-profit organization. He is a design team member of several Equinoxe® Shoulder devices.

Panelist: Ian Byram, MD

Ian Byram, MD, is a shoulder and elbow specialist at the Bone and Joint Institute of Tennessee. Dr. Byram received his medical degree from the University of North Carolina School of Medicine and completed his residency at Vanderbilt University School of Medicine. He went on to complete a shoulder, elbow and sports medicine fellowship at Columbia University Medical Center. Dr. Byram is an accomplished author of more than 20 peer-reviewed articles and book chapters, serves on the AAOS shoulder and elbow program committee, and is a member of both ASES and ACESS.

Panelist: Scott Trenhaile, MD

Scott Trenhaile, MD, practices at Rockford Orthopedic Associates. He is a faculty member at University of Illinois College of Medicine, Midwestern University and Rush University Medical Center. Dr. Trenhaile completed his internship and residency at St. Luke’s-Roosevelt Hospital Center/Columbia University and his fellowship at Mississippi Sports Medicine and Orthopaedic Center.
